Mark H. Blakeman has devoted more than fourteen years of professional service to Campbellsville University, where he presently serves as Director of Campus Safety and Clery Compliance. In this capacity, Blakeman exercises administrative oversight of the university’s campus safety and security operations while ensuring institutional compliance with the federal reporting and disclosure obligations mandated under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act through the U.S. Department of Education. His responsibilities extend across the university’s multi-state and international educational footprint, including campuses in Kentucky, California, and Canada.

Beyond his core administrative responsibilities, Blakeman remains actively engaged in both professional and institutional governance. He serves on the Federal Relations Committee of the National Association of Clery Compliance Officers and Professionals (NACCOP) and contributes to institutional leadership through his participation on the University President’s Staff Council and the University Behavioral Assessment Team (BAT). In addition, he chairs the University’s Safety Committee and undertakes responsibilities as both a Title IX Investigator and Title IX Advisor. Through these roles, he supports the institution in fulfilling its obligations by helping to ensure educational environments that are both equitable and compliant with applicable law.

Prior to joining Campbellsville University, Blakeman accumulated significant managerial experience across several prominent organizations, including Amazon, Schwan’s Company, FedEx and Tractor Supply Company. He also worked within family-owned enterprises such as Blakeman Auto Parts/Greensburg BP and Blakeman Oil Co., experiences that contributed to the development of his leadership and operational management expertise.

Blakeman is the son of Marlene D. Blakeman and the late Charles H. Blakeman. He is married to Suzanne M. Blakeman, a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College, where the couple met and were married in 2002. Together, they share a commitment to Christian higher education, a love of travel, and a deep appreciation for time spent with family and friends.

A 1993 graduate of Green County High School, Blakeman later earned his Bachelor of Science in Communication and Social Science, with a minor in Journalism, from Lindsey Wilson College in 2010. He is presently preparing to pursue a Master of Business Administration at Campbellsville University. Mark and Suzanne attend Cedar Springs Baptist Church in Russell Springs, Kentucky.
