CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville University's Jazz Ensemble will perform its home concert, following its return from an annual fall recruiting tour, at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11 in The Gheens Recital Hall of the Gosser Fine Arts Center at 210 University Drive, Campbellsville.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The Jazz Ensemble, which will be performing with the CU Chamber Percussion Ensemble, will be returning from a tour of high schools in Kentucky.
Directed by Jen Tinnell, director of bands and instructor in music, the Jazz Ensemble plays a variety of styles including classic big band, shuffle, rock and cha-cha and will be presenting original charts as well as some well-known favorites by Tower of Power, The Rippingtons, Michael Buble and others.
“The Percussion Ensemble will be performing a couple of pieces including a steel pan combo as well as a novelty piece that will for sure tickle your funny bone,” Tinnell said.

“We all have a lot of fun preparing for this tour and playing for all the spirited high school students, but we always look forward to our home concert the most,” Tinnell said.
