Campbellsville University to hear Jim Tatum, Founder of Suits 4 Servants, Sept. 1

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Jim Tatum, founder of Suits 4 Servants and deacon at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Fla., is scheduled to speak at Campbellsville University's chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 in Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

The event is free and open to the public.

Tatum began his ministry over 45 years ago selling suits out of a garage in Jacksonville. Today, he devotes majority of his time speaking at seminaries, colleges, universities and men's retreats to raise awareness and resources for his ministry. He also conducts Christian leadership workshops.

The mission of Suits 4 Servants is to better equip pastors, missionaries, seminary staff/students and Christian businessmen by providing affordable suits for purchase.

Tatum is married to Bernice Tatum, and they have four children and nine grandchildren.

Tatum is also scheduled to speak to various groups during his visit at CU. He will speak at FIRST CLASS at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30 in Ransdell Chapel; in the Introduction to Old Testament taught by Dr. John Hurtgen, dean of the School of Theology, at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31 in Druien Hall 4; and in the Pastorial Ministries class taught by Dr. Scott Wigginton, associate professor of pastoral ministries and counseling, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31 in Druien Hall 4.

He will address students in chapel at the Louisville Education Center at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through of a variety of informative speakers and presentations.

All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10) and are streamed live on the Internet.
