CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University student, Nicholas A. Bertolucci of Cupertino, Calif., will display works for his senior at show March 29-April 1 in the Art Gallery at 205 University Drive, Campbellsville, Ky.

“Life is surrounded by art that is undiscovered by the untrained naked eye,” Bertolucci said. “With all types of art I feel I need to portray it in many different media. I have a few themes that are portrayed in my art. I am an artist who uses what the city gives. My inspiration evolves slowly and subliminally to give me my themes. This tells me who I am.”
Bertolucci's exhibit consists of photography, acrylics, digital, spray paint and pen and ink.

He was born and reared in San Jose, Calif., and many of his pieces are influenced though his daily life and the art work of “Undercity Artists” in San Jose.

“These pieces of art on display are a collection of work that I did over my college career,” he said. “A lot of my artwork displayed is of the undercity influence and of simple art (clean and direct).”

Bertolucci said his art fits “smoothly into contemporary art with a simple flow with a simple straight to the point directive.”
Bertolucci discovered art in high school. He has had one other art exhibit in 2005.

Bertolucci will graduate from Campbellsville University in May with a bachelor of science degree with an art major. He received an associate of arts degree in 2008 from West Valley College and attended San Jose State University in 2007.
