Ceruti Chamber to perform at Campbellsville University

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Known for incorporating both great chamber music of past eras and compositions of living composers, Campbellsville University welcomes the Ceruti Chamber of Louisville, Ky., to perform alongside CU music faculty and alumni Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. in the Gheens Recital Hall, located at 210 University Drive, Campbellsville.

The program is free and open to the public.

The chamber ensemble will present works by Arnold, Mozart, Hummel and Goplerud.

Members include; Grace Baugh-Bennett, piano; CU alum, Paola Manrique-Land, violin; Jack Griffin, viola; CU adjunct music instructor, Saulo DeAlmeida, cello; Robert Docs, double bass; Donald Gottlieb, flute; CU adjunct music instructor, Trevor Johnson, oboe; CU adjunct music instructor, Andrea Levine, clarinet; and CU assistant professor of music/trumpet, Dr. Reese Land, trumpet.

The Ceruti Chamber ensemble is critically acclaimed and has performed in the Master Musicians Festival in Somerset, Ky., Musikfest Bethlehem in Pennsylvania, Piccoloc Spoleto Festival in Charleston, S.C., and the Louisville Orchestra's New Dimensions Series. It was also selected as one of two United States ensembles to participate in the first Osaka (Japan) International Chamber Music Festa.

The ensemble's performances have been aired on Kentucky Educational Television, the former Louisville in Concert series on WFPK-FM, and Lunchtime Classics on WUOL-FM
