CU Orchestra to present concert Saturday, April 20

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The Campbellsville University Orchestra, conducted by Dr. J. Robert Gaddis, professor of music, and Leonardo Barros, a conducting graduate assistant, will present its final concert of the season on Saturday, April 20, at 8 p.m. in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville. The public is invited to the free concert.

The program includes the Concerto #1 for Cello and Orchestra in A minor by Camille Saint-Saens, featuring adjunct instructor Saulo DeAlmeida as solo cellist. Gaddis will conduct this work. Another selection conducted by Gaddis will be the Fourth Movement of Symphony # 1 by Johannes Brahms.

Barros will conduct the Third and Fourth Movements of Symphony #2 by Alexander Borodin.
