CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Do you want to see some of Taylor County's finest historical sites on foot? You will have your chance on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 8:30 a.m.
Campbellsville University's Phi Alpha Theta, national history honors society, is having a historical 5k run/walk around some of Taylor County's finest historical sites.
The Phi Alpha Theta historical run journeys around some of Taylor County's finest and most well known historical sites. The run will start in front of the Campbellsville University entrance. It will journey down Main Street, the old Bengal School House at Taylor County High School, High Street and Lebanon Avenue. Concessions will also be sold.
Pre-registration for the run with a shirt is $20, or $15 without the shirt. Day of registration is $15 and shirts will not be offered. All proceeds received from the historical run will go toward funding for the Taylor County Hiestand House Museum. All runners will need to meet directly in front of the Campbellsville University entrance the day of to sign in and receive a map of the course. Trophies will be given to the first place male and female finishers, while the top five overall finishers will receive medals.
