CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's Public Relations Student Society of America will host Jill Gorin Frost, founder of Frost Public Relations, Monday, Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. in the atrium of the Badgett Academic Support Center, located at 110 University Drive, Campbellsville.
Frost is a native of Green County, and is the daughter of Walt and Ann Gorin, publishers of the Greensburg Record-Herald, where she also serves as senior feature writer.
Frost will talk of her experience in public relations, broadcasting, government, non-profit, lobbying and entrepreneurship to Campbellsville University students and the public. There is no charge for the event.
Frost graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in broadcast journalism and political science. While at UK, Frost interned for television media in Lexington and was the winner of a William Randolph Hearst Award for Excellence in television journalism. She also served as news editor of the school's newspaper, the Kentucky Kernel.
In July 2011, Frost started Frost Public Relations, which is based in Nashville, Tenn., and is an independent public relations and marketing firm dedicated to marketing, media relations and communications for organizations.
Frost has also done freelance writing for Country Weekly magazine interviewing artists Vince Gill, Wynonna Judd, Mila Mason, Darryl Worley, Jo Dee Messina and others.
Before launching Frost Public Relations, Frost served as communications director for the Governor's Books from Birth Foundation, a part of which she was involved with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
Frost has also served as marketing and communications manager/national media spokesperson for American Red Cross Nashville Area Chapter, and news anchor/reporter for Clear Channel Radio in Nashville. She was marketing and communications specialist for the Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management.
Frost was recently nominated for a Nashville Business Journal's Women of Influence Award.
