Campbellsville University's voice instructor to have recital

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Juliana Moura, instructor in voice, will present a faculty recital on Monday, Jan. 24 at 8 p.m. in The Gheens Recital Hall in the Gosser Fine Arts Center at 210 University Drive, Campbellsville.
The program is free and open to the public.

Assisting Moura will be Dr. William Budai, assistant professor of piano; Dr. Mark Bradley, professor of voice; Saulo Almeida, instructor of cello, and HaHae Jung, a graduate student in voice.

Moura, a soprano, holds a Master of Arts in Music from Campbellsville University in 2008 and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Louisville in 2010. In 2001 she graduated from the Seminary South Brazil.

She is pursuing her doctorate degree at the University of Kentucky.

She has appeared in numerous operas and was in the Young Artist Apprentice Program with the Kentucky Opera.

She was a finalist in the International Czech Competition in 2009. In 2008 Moura participated in the Young Artist Program of the Kentucky Opera and won both the Master Performance Award from Campbellsville University and the Gail Robinson Award from the University of Kentucky.

She was previously employed at the University of Louisville as a teaching assistant in language, voice and opera classes.

She is married to Saulo Moura DeAlmeida; they have two daughters, Ana Clara and Ana Beatriz Moura. She is the daughter of Odilon and Regina Miranda of Brazil.
