CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University is running “Unshackled,” the longest-running radio drama every Sunday at 6 p.m. on CU's new radio station, WLCU-FM 88.7.
A Spanish translated version, “Desencadenados,” will air every Sunday at 6 a.m., also on WLCU-FM 88.7.
Produced out of Chicago, Ill. by Pacific Garden Missions, listeners will have the opportunity to tune in and listen to real people with real stories of hopelessness and the hope that changes everything, Jesus Christ.
“Without Jesus Christ, we are all shackled by sin — by our wrong choices, disobedience and selfish motives. But God is at work, and the power of Christ sets us free of our bondage. We are… “UNSHACKLED!” said the Pacific Garden Missions website, thus giving the broadcast it's namesake.
“Unshackled” is still produced in the style of the “Golden Age” of radio with every element of the production being recorded live.
Heard all around the world, “Unshackled” is broadcast over 10,000 times a week on more than 2,200 different radio outlets. “Unshackled” is also broadcast around the world in Arabic, Russian, Romanian Polish, Korean, Farsi, Albanian and Japanese.
Campbellsville University is a widely acclaimed Kentucky-based Christian university with over 3,000 students offering 63 undergraduate options, 17 master's degrees, five postgraduate areas and eight pre-professional programs. The website for complete information is campbellsville.edu.
