CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY ART CLASSES HOSTS ARGENTINA ART PROFESSOR, CARLOS BOZZOLI, TO SPEAK ON 20TH CENTURY ARCHITECTURE

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.—Interested in 20th century architecture? Carlos Bozzoli, an art professor from Argentina, will speak to Campbellsville University art classes over the next two weeks. Anyone interested in 20th century architecture is welcome to attend, including members of the community.
Bozzoli will speak on four different dates: Wednesday, Feb. 17, Friday, Feb. 19, Wednesday, Feb. 24 and Friday, Feb. 26. Each class is from 11 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in Campbellsville University's Art Building, room 102, at 205A University Drive, Campbellsville.
On Wednesday, Feb. 17, Bozzoli will introduce the state of architecture at the end of the 19th century, along with German contributions to architecture. Friday, Feb. 19, Bozzoli will speak on the Bauhaus theory pertaining to architecture, and rationalism vs. expressionism. Bozzoli will speak on on modernism vs. art deco, and innovation in architecture on Wednesday, Feb. 24. The final class Friday, Feb. 26, will conclude with the triumph and decay of modernism in architecture from the 1960s, and post-modernism.
Bozzoli graduated from Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1968. He is a professor at the Universidad Abierta Interamericana.
He served as a designer and field administrator with three different building-contractors enterprise jobs. He has also served as a free architect for several buildings including apartment buildings, homes, churches, and a historical restoration of a building dated 1829.
Bozzoli is a guest of Dr. Keith Spears, vice president for professional and regional education at Campbellsville University.
