CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Starr Garrett, assistant professor and theater director at Campbellsville University, has been promoted to associate professor of theater, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.
Garrett of Campbellsville has served full time at the university since 2005 and has taught many theater and communication courses.
She has served as director, artistic director, technical director, set designer and actress for numerous plays, and has produced and acted for film as well.
Garrett is a 1999 graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Fla. with a major in theater. She graduated from Regent University's College of Communication and the Arts in Virginia Beach, Va. in 2001 with a master of arts in acting and directing for theater. In 2008, she received a master of fine arts in theater and community from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vt.
She is the wife of Dr. Jason Garrett, associate professor of communications at Campbellsville University. They have two children, August and Everest.
