P-12

The 12-hour post-graduate endorsement program in gifted education is intended to give educators the opportunity to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to develop, implement, and direct programs in the education of gifted and talented students.

All courses are offered in an online format. The gifted and talented education endorsement involves three courses, each one paired with an additional one hour practicum, to be taken over three graduate terms. Each practicum involves collaboration with regional gifted education practitioners, coordinators, and instructors. The performance standards for the endorsement program on the state level are the society guidelines approved by NCATE, National Association of Gifted Children/Council for Exceptional Children.

The gifted endorsement program may be taken independently of the Rank I program or in conjunction with.
