LA County DMH Student Stipend Opportunities Announcement 

The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LA County DMH) offers stipend opportunities for students preparing for careers in public mental health through a workforce initiative funded through the Mental Health Services Act. The stipend programs offer financial support to students to recruit and grow the public mental health workforce with qualified clinical professionals completing their mental health-related degrees. 
 
The 2025-26 stipend application cycle runs from December 17, 2025, through February 11, 2026, and is open to students graduating between 9/1/2025-8/31/26:
 
Students selected and awarded a stipend will provide one year of full-time, paid employment post-degree in a clinical capacity in public mental health settings that are directly operated or contracted by the LA County Department of Mental Health.
