English Department's Annual Events
The English Department at Campbellsville University hosts a variety of annual events that celebrate literature, creativity, and the vibrant student community. Highlights include the beloved English Department Tea Party, where students and faculty come together for engaging discussions and literary activities, and the lively Bard’s Birthday Bash, a fun-filled celebration of Shakespeare's legacy with performances, readings, and more. These events, along with others throughout the year, offer students unique opportunities to connect with peers, engage with faculty, and immerse themselves in the literary world in a social and festive setting.

“The English program at CU has truly been transformational for my life. I came to Campbellsville four years ago, not knowing what I was going to be or do, and the program helped me find what I loved, along with inspiring my post-graduation and long-term career plans. I have grown. I now have a comprehensive view of literary passages not only through a love for reading and learned critical analysis skills, but also through finding correlations between texts and recognizing how they shaped the past and modern world. The English program at CU helped me, with the help of outstanding professors, “find my calling,” and set me up to succeed, not just during my time here, but when I graduate as well."
