Campbellsville University’s Bachelor in Elementary Education prepares future teachers to lead in early learning environments and elementary classrooms with confidence and care. Students can choose from two certification paths: Elementary Education, P-5 Certification, B.S. or B.A., or Elementary Education, P-5/Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) Birth–5th Grade Certification, B.S. or B.A. Each option combines strong academic preparation with hands-on field experience to help you meet the needs of students across developmental stages. Grounded in a Christ-centered approach to teaching, the program focuses on practical skills in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and child development. With dedicated faculty and multiple field placements, you’ll be prepared for certification in Kentucky and equipped to create effective learning environments that support student success from early childhood through elementary school.

The Elementary Education, P-5 Certification, B.S. or B.A. program at Campbellsville University prepares you to teach young students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Blending early childhood and elementary education, this program offers comprehensive training in child development, instructional methods, and classroom management across a wide age range. With a Christ-centered approach and extensive field experience, you’ll be equipped to work in both early childhood settings and elementary schools. Graduates are eligible to pursue teacher certification in Kentucky and are prepared to meet the needs of children at every stage of early learning.
