Program Overview

Campbellsville University’s Gifted and Talented Endorsement equips educators to recognize and nurture advanced learners in K–12 settings. The program meets the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) requirements for endorsement and emphasizes the identification of giftedness, differentiated instruction, program design, and advocacy. With a strong focus on practical classroom application, this endorsement prepares teachers to provide enriching and challenging learning opportunities for students with high potential.

To apply to Campbellsville University’s accredited gifted and talented endorsement online, prospective students must submit or complete the following:

Complete the online application
All official college transcripts, confirming a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or a 3.0 on the last 30 hours
Copy of teaching certificate
Submission of a complete statement of purpose regarding enrollment in the certificate program

*Some additional requirements will be requested upon acceptance into the program.

Graduates of the Gifted and Talented Endorsement program are prepared to support high-ability learners in a variety of K–12 settings. With this endorsement, you may qualify for roles such as:

Gifted and Talented Teacher
Classroom Teacher with GT Endorsement
Enrichment Program Instructor
Gifted Program Coordinator
Advanced Placement (AP) or Honors Course Facilitator
