Amanda Greer, a first-grade teacher at the Adair County Primary Center, has been awarded a $1000 scholarship from Kentucky’s University Principal Preparation Initiative (UPPI). UPPI is a collaboration between the Kentucky Department of Education and a dozen Kentucky universities, including Campbellsville, with the goal of improving school principal preparation programs.

Dr. Franklin Thomas submitted the scholarship nomination narrative on behalf of Amanda, a current candidate in the CU school principal program. Amanda was the unanimous choice of the statewide UPPI scholarship committee to receive the group’s first scholarship. The funds were generated by the sale of two school leadership books the UPPI team had coordinated and published recently.

Congratulations Amanda!
