Campbellsville University School of Education students visit Marion County Public Schools in Lebanon recently.

Welcome to the School of Education (SoE) at Campbellsville University, where the passion for learning meets the desire to share it with others. Our undergraduate programs strive to prepare our students to be skilled, compassionate and confident educators who will move on to make a great impact in their communities and in the lives of their students. Potential candidates are able to choose majors in various subject areas and all levels of education: elementary, middle, and high school.

What we offer:

  • Christian Leadership: Our faculty openly share their faith through Scripture in class, prayer with our students and by providing opportunities for students to be involved in servant leadership.
  • Dedicated Faculty: Professors care about their students and are available to support and mentor students in becoming the best that they can be.
  • Small Class Sizes: Our professor-to-student ratio allows faculty to know students on an individual basis and have open-door policies.
  • Education Peer Group: All education students have the opportunity to get involved with events such as Homecoming, cookouts, Ed Rising conferences, and more.

Why Choose Education?

There are many career opportunities that allow you to serve others as a Christian. Among them, few are as impactful as teaching.

“Pursuing a career as a teacher is a calling,” said Dr. Kerri Adkins, Undergraduate Chair of the university’s SoE. “Teaching students the necessary subject content is important, but teaching allows you to foster growth in young individuals in more ways than just through the curriculum. You will have the opportunity to serve as a mentor in helping students navigate challenges which can be extremely rewarding.”

Choosing education means serving in a role that will allow you to live out your faith daily while having a tremendous impact on youth and society as a whole. Whether you feel called to teach elementary, middle or high school, the SoE at CU will prepare you with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to be an effective teacher.

Answer the Call

At Campbellsville University, we believe teaching is more than just a profession. It’s a ministry. If you are ready to take the leap into service that allows you to lead and inspire others, join us in preparing today’s youth to become tomorrow’s leaders.
