First Things First
Getting settled in a new country can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to make your first steps easy and stress-free. In this section, you’ll find important information to help you get started at Campbellsville University, from admissions paperwork to airport arrival. Make sure you have submitted all required documents to the International Admissions department. This may include:
- Your official English test results, sent directly from the testing company (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo)
- Your transcripts and credential evaluation
- Your housing application form
- Your medical form and immunization records

If you do not see it in your inbox, check your junk mail folder. If the email is not there, contact your enrollment counselor or international@campbellsville.edu.
As soon as you receive your visa approval, send a photo or a scanned copy of your visa to your enrollment counselor. You will not be enrolled in your classes until we receive confirmation that your visa application has been approved.
There are a few options to get to CU's main campus.
- CGE will be providing airport shuttles from the Louisville International Airport (SDF) to CU's main campus. The shuttle will cost $50; students without a ticket should not plan to ride the shuttle. All flights should arrive at least 1 hour before the scheduled shuttle time. More information about the shuttle is available here.
- If you do not want to take the airport shuttle, transportation to campus will be your responsibility.
- The Louisville airport has several taxi, ride-sharing, and rental car options.
- Athletes should contact their coaches about their required arrival dates.
CGE will communicate with you on a regular basis so that you will have the information that you need to prepare and have a smooth arrival. You will need to read the information we send so that you will know what is happening and can stay aware of deadlines.

International Student Orientation
At Campbellsville University, we offer two flexible orientation options to help you start your journey with confidence:

In-Person Orientation (CGE Compass): Held at the beginning of each semester, this mandatory on-campus session provides essential information from various campus departments and offers opportunities to meet fellow international students. The next session is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Online Orientation (International Student Knowledge Center): Designed for flexibility, this online platform allows you to access important information about being an international student at CU at your own pace. You can even start before arriving in the U.S.! To gain access, email cge@campbellsville.edu.
Both options aim to equip you with the knowledge and connections needed for a successful start at CU.

No, you cannot exchange your currency in Campbellsville. Currency exchange is available at the Louisville International Airport. Ideally, students should exchange their currency before coming to the U.S.
If you will be arriving on campus late, please notify our office at cge@campbellsville as soon as possible. Once you arrive on campus, visit the CGE Office to check in.

Yes, CGE offers a shopping shuttle services multiple times a week. The shuttles go to Walmart and other local stores.
