Academic Programs
The English 8-12 Teaching Certification with 5-9 Extension program is designed for students who aspire to become educators. This comprehensive program prepares future teachers to instruct middle and high school students in English language arts, with a special focus on developing the skills to teach across grades 5-12. Students gain expertise in literature, writing, and pedagogy while completing certification requirements, ensuring they’re equipped to inspire and lead the next generation of learners.

The English, B.A. or B.S. at Campbellsville University provides students with a well-rounded education in literature, writing, and language. The program emphasizes critical thinking, creative expression, and effective communication, preparing students for careers in education, writing, publishing, and more. With a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary texts, English majors gain the analytical skills and literary knowledge needed to succeed in today’s diverse professional world.
