Percussion Ensemble to perform Thursday
The Campbellsville University percussion ensemble will present its spring concert, A New Brew . . . . contemporary music for percussion ensemble, on Thursday, March 21, at 8 p.m. in The Gheens Recital Hall. The program will feature recent works for percussion ensemble, including a composition written by CU alumnus Matt Moore (’08). The program will also feature a guest ensemble, the Campbellsville Regional Percussion Ensemble, a group comprised of several all-star high school percussionists from across the state. The concert is free and open to the public. CU recital and chapel credit is available!
Books available by children’s writer Heather Henson
Books by Heather Henson, the keynote speaker at the Beulah Campbell Children's Literature Conference Saturday, are available in the Barnes and Noble College Bookstore until the end of this week or the beginning of next week. The titles available are:
“Angel Coming” - A picture book about the Frontier Nursing Service in Eastern Kentucky in 1925.
“Dream of Night” - A novel about an orphan girl and a race horse who is beyond its prime.
“Grumpy Grandpa” - A picture book about the bond forged between a young boy and his "grumpy grandpa."
“Here's How I See It, Here's How it Is” - A novel about a girl growing up with parents who run a playhouse and her dream of becoming an actress.
“That Book Woman” - A picture book about the Pack Horse Librarians of Eastern Kentucky.
