We have a professional performing opportunity for String/Electric Bass players! On March 06, 2020 The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West will host a live audition to hire the regional band’s newest bass player. Qualified applicants may be assigned to any USAF Regional Band, depending on the greatest need of the Air Force. Possible assignment locations include the following Air Force Bases: Langley, VA; Wright-Patterson, OH; Scott, IL; Offutt, NE; Lackland, TX; and Travis, CA.
Audition materials (resume and audio files) are due by January 19, 2020 and our live audition will be held at Travis Air Force Base, CA on March 06, 2019.

This musical audition will be conducted in two parts: (1) an initial screening and selection by pre-recorded submissions and (2) a live audition for those selected from the initial screening. Details concerning the pre-screening submission are attached. Please look over the requirements carefully to determine if you are prepared to audition at this time. The following information outlines important dates and requirements.
If you are invited to the live audition, you will be required to meet with an official Air Force Recruiter to be pre-qualified for basic military training. Once we have received an official memorandum from your recruiter confirming that you are qualified, you will receive an official audition invitation from The Band of the Golden West containing instructions for travel as well as details for the audition day. It is your responsibility to initiate a recruiter visit after we notify you of the live audition invitation.
