Position Description: Work to increase the strength and stability of families to include home visits; referral to other resources; provide parent education; utilize techniques in areas of child development, age appropriate behavior, positive approaches to discipline, communication skills building, mutual trust & increasing self esteem; promote parent/caregiver and child attachment; participate in case planning required by referring agency; develop written goals/tasks with the family; maintain professional relationship with family & child; intervene if behavior becomes harmful to child; document observations; ensure confidentiality; includes other specific duties. Education/other possible Requirements: 21 years of age; Bachelor’s degree in human services area, OR hold a Bachelor’s degree in an area outside of human services but have at least one year of experience providing in-home services OR have four years experience providing in-home services which includes parent education for children and families; submit to criminal records check, child abuse and neglect check, motor vehicle check, drug and alcohol testing. Must live in the ten (10) county area.
