Job Description
Develop strategies for student-athlete’s individual learning style. Work with assigned student-athletes to develop a professional relationship to maximize their academic potential.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working with students in an academic environment.
Required Special Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
- Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Other Requirements or Other Factors:
- Willing to work non-standard hours.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree.
- Experience in the education system.
Responsibilities:
- Work with assigned student-athletes to develop a professional relationship to maximize their academic potential.
- Provide general instruction in study skills, note-taking skills, test-taking skills.
- Guide student-athletes in the development of time management and in developing organizational skills.
- Develop strategies for the student-athlete’s individual learning style.
- Create daily progress reports using on-line system.
- Collaborate with Scholastic Supervisors and Learning Specialists about progress and individual student needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
