Accounting Specialist, Commonwealth Pain & Spine, Louisville, KY

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

Commonwealth Pain & Spine is searching for an Accounting Specialist to join the Finance team. The Accounting Specialist will have a daily, ongoing impact on the financial health of Commonwealth and its family of companies. The incumbent will have the opportunity to work in a variety of areas within Accounting and Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Review all incoming vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Enter all invoices into the general ledger
  • Record and reconcile credit card monthly spend
  • Oversee the annual 1099 compliance process
  • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process
  • Assist in vendor and payables consolidation project
  • Fixed Assets
  • Review all incoming invoices and expenses to identify items qualifying as fixed assets
  • Process all fixed asset invoices and enter all fixed assets into subledger
  • Run monthly depreciation and record expense
  • Reconcile subledger monthly
  • Oversee fixed assets for tax purposes
  •  Other Duties
  • Assist with cash deposits
  • Assist with bank reconciliations
  • Assist in the close process each month
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills:

– Understanding of basic principles of accounting and bookkeeping

– Excellent time management skills and detail orientation

Education & Experience:

– Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

– 2+ years of relevant experience (will accept education as substitute)

– Experience in Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets or Cash Management

– Experience in healthcare, multi-site, and/or multi-brand/company environment

  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential job duty.

Salary Description

$20 – $25/hour
