Aerobics Instructor, The City of Bowling Green, Bowling Green, KY

The purpose of this position is to lead group exercises and classes for the fitness program. Examples of classes include but are not limited to yoga, spin, Zumba, HIIT, Pilates, & cardio etc. Classes are generally 45-60 minutes in length and will be taught 2-3 times a week.

DUTIES: Teaching classes, providing customer service, monitoring patrons, or leading recreational activities. Must be able to provide instruction, encouragement, and be able to motivate class participants. Ability to lead others and follow safe guidelines; including warm-up, cool-down, and stretching. Ability to be able to start and end class on time and ensure the classroom has been properly cleaned up and prepared for the next class. Also responsible for reporting the number of participants after each class.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be First Aid & CPR certified and have nationally recognized group exercise instructor certification; should have a general working knowledge of fitness activities/programs or any combination of education training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Age 18+.

SALARY: Pay Grade 70; $20.60 hr.

WORK HOURS: hours may vary; mornings, evenings, and weekends (fill in other shifts as needed)
