Position Description
Are you someone who loves the outdoors, is adventurous and thrives on doing something different every day? Being a camp counselor gives you an opportunity to make a difference in young children’s lives as well as gives you an experience of a lifetime!

This is an Interim position. An Interim position means a position established to address a one-time or recurring need of less than nine (9) months duration and exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115.

We are looking for responsible, positive, and adventurous individuals would like to join our team this summer to provide a safe and memorable experience for our campers. Our summer camp is held June 3 to August 2, however we will need our camp counselors to start 2 weeks before to prepare and train for the summer season.

We are looking for someone who will be available for the entire summer.

Duties include:
Plan and oversee camper activities.
Guide and teach a range of outdoor activities (hiking, swimming, boating, etc.).
Ensure camper safety and monitor their activities.
Set up and ensure recreation equipment is secure and stored properly.
Supervise campers during meals.
Instruct campers in daily routines and cleanup tasks.
Follow safety and emergency procedures and guidelines.
Work one-on-one with campers
You will also collaborate with other counselors, create recreational plans and activities, and lead campers in fun-filled projects.
Applicants should be patient, fun-loving and confident in their ability to motivate and assist campers in learning new skills
