Job Summary:
A Planet Fitness District Maintenance Manager (DMM) has overall responsibility for providing high quality service and response to a wide range of facility and equipment maintenance issues. In addition, the District Maintenance Manager performs maintenance duties necessary to maintain the physical condition of fitness and tanning equipment and the overall appearance of assigned clubs. Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical and materials is a must. Candidates should possess excellent time-management skills and basic computing skills including proficiency in word and excel. Valid driver’s license required. Candidates must deliver superior customer service, will be self-motivated, reliable, detail oriented, and able to work unsupervised in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain fitness and UV tanning equipment
- Maintain overall appearance of assigned clubs
- Maintain company vehicle
- Manage daily/ weekly reports and schedule accordingly
- Track and record monthly expense reports
- Establish and maintain controls
- Ensure maintenance issues are responded to per established guidelines
- Manage and control parts inventory in the assigned clubs
- Manage and control parts inventory on vehicles
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment within the assigned clubs
Required Qualifications
- Excellent Customer Service skills with high degree of Client/Customer Awareness
- Mechanically inclined with basic knowledge of basic electric, mechanical and materials
- Ability to read schematics is a plus
- Excellent time-management skills
- Well Organized
- Proficient in Microsoft word and Excel, including knowledge of all related computer applications
- Accurate and attentive to detail
- Self-motivated
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- High School degree
- Able to work unsupervised in a team environment

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to and above 100 pounds
- The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Frequent travel required with sitting in vehicles for extended periods of time
