Executive Director (FT), RecycloCraftz, Louisville KY

RecycloCraftz, based in Louisville, KY and Lusaka, Zambia, is hiring for a Full-time Executive Director.

The Executive Director could work 30-40 hours/week with a starting salary about $30,000, with the potential to increase depending on hours, experience, and funds raised for the organization. Support raising could add to the salary as well. The job has flexibility in its work location, but the primary location is at the RecycloCraftz boutique at the Mellwood Art Center, 1860 Mellwood Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206.

RecycloCraftz is a fair trade, vocational training, literacy development ministry that is making an educational, economic, and eternal difference in the lives of impoverished women, men, children, and orphans in Zambia. We are faith based, 501-C 3 nonprofit based in Louisville, KY and Lusaka, Zambia. The Executive Director will work with the Board, President, and staff to create and implement a strategic vision for our organization that will drive organizational growth. They will be expected to lead, advise, and give direction to the staff.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and give direction to our Director of Operations in their tasks of product management, operations, scheduling, and human resources
  • Oversee and give direction to our Director of Development in their tasks of fundraising, marketing, and Zambian project development
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to execute specific projects that work together to
  • meet the vision of the organization
  • Work closely with the Founder/President to execute specific projects that work together to
  • meet the vision of the organization
  • Take on the responsibility of creating tasks and delegating them to the staff to achieve goals
  • of the organization
  • Oversee the making of a budget for the organization
  • Approve specific financial ventures
  • Be a coach/mentor to the staff based off of previous experience in the nonprofit sector
  • Help mold company culture
  • Lead the organization spiritually, holding fast to the truths of the Gospel and being quick to
  • listen to God’s direction in the organization
  • Speak at various functions and events on behalf of the organization

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Experience in Business Management
  • Bachelors in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or
  • similar field
  • Experience working with or for Nonprofits
  • Experience working in an international setting is preferred
  • Self-Starter
