Independent Stave Company is looking to invest in and train our next generation of leaders. Whether you are graduating or a recent graduate, we may be the right fit. Our management training program is designed to develop the future leaders and production management teams to continue our success at Independent Stave Company, leading us into our next century of being the largest manufacturer of white oak barrels in the Wine & Spirits industry. Candidates should be able to work well with little to no supervision over time. As a management trainee, you will learn all aspects of manufacturing white oak staves and barrels for our customers in the wine and spirits industry.
During your training period, a Management Trainee will focus their training in either the cooperage or stave mill divisions. In addition, you will assist department managers/supervisors in all aspects of daily shift management by performing any necessary duties in manufacturing white oak barrels. This role requires the willingness to move or relocate for training purposes.
Compensation: $55,000-$67,000, based on degree or experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assists supervisors and QC in all aspects of daily shift management, including employee relations, inventory control, procedural tasks, and paperwork, as well as performing a variety of duties or jobs related to the manufacturing of white oak staves and barrels
- Train and develop production associates
- Provides security & loss prevention within departments
- Learn to oversee or assist with performance management (Tracking Results & Coaching Performance).
- Organizes product shipments, transfers & inventory
- Works with the maintenance department to assist with continuous improvement projects.
- Works with each department to track and help with performance goals and metrics.
