New Salem Baptist Church is searching for a part-time Youth Director
Youth Director Responsibilities:
Responsibility includes providing and overseeing Christian programs for children and youth.
Creating activities, bible study, and some recreation programs that provide safe and productive environments that foster a Christian world view and understanding.
Qualifications for position:
The Youth Director should be a devout Christian who holds to the tenants of the Baptist faith message 2000. They should have a passion for working with Youth and assisting children, as well as strong leadership skills. A positive attitude, lots of patience and enthusiasm for the job are important when working with children. They should have a strong biblical knowledge and understanding of scripture, and the ability to teach and explain the bible to children of all ages.
Expectations:
The Youth Director will work under the supervision of the Pastor, deacons, and youth committee. They will teach youth grades 6th through 12th and help oversee the children ministry. They will be expected to become a member of New Salem Baptist. Needed to attend Sunday worship as well as Wednesday service, this is Matthew 19:14 ministry nights. They are expected to work with volunteers to plan out and schedule events to discuss with youth committee. This is a part time position 10hrs expected a week. This includes service times.
Salary (Part-time):
The salary for the Youth director is $200.00 weekly.
