Description:
Stephens & Lawson CPAs is looking for self-starting auditors and tax professionals. Candidates must be highly motivated with some experience in income tax. The ability to research and resolve complex issues is a must. Successful candidates will have routine client contact and will be expected to build client\firm relationships, assume full responsibility of basic engagements from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and tax returns for various small businesses and individuals and will assist experienced professionals in financial auditing. It is essential that this candidate have analytical, computer and organizational skills in order to successfully meet job requirements.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with staff to timely complete different types of engagements
• Develop client relations and provide small business accounting services
• Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
• Assume full responsibility of basic tax engagements from start to finish
Qualifications
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting
• 3+ years’ experience or formal education in tax and\or accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
• Preferred candidates will have tax preparation experience and have excellent computer and communication skills
