Position Title: Statistical Clerk

Descriptions

  • Perform telephone interviews for a wide variety of surveys conducted by the Jeffersonville Contact Center.
  • Receive extensive training on the assigned surveys, interviewing techniques, and computer terminal operations techniques.
  • Telephone respondents and explain the purpose of the survey or census in order to gain cooperation.
  • Assure accurate and completed answers to all questions insofar as possible.
  • Obtain and record the data on a questionnaire or computer.
  • Conduct “cold contact” interviews.
  • Be required to conduct telephone research activities to obtain current status of address, location of sample person, occupant information, and identification of respondent telephone numbers.
  • Review information for completeness, edit, or otherwise assist in clerical processing and/or data entry.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and suitable for Federal employment.

You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Candidates must clear the fingerprint process and initiate the required background investigation prior to final selection.
A one year probationary period will be required.

  • Receive extensive training on the assigned surveys, interviewing techniques, and computer terminal operations techniques.
  • Telephone respondents and explain the purpose of the survey or census in order to gain cooperation in English and a foreign language.
  • Assure accurate and completed answers to all questions insofar as possible.
  • Obtain and record the data on a questionnaire or computer.
  • Conduct “cold contact” interviews.
  • Be required to conduct telephone research activities to obtain current status of address, location of sample person, occupant information, and identification of respondent telephone numbers.
  • Review information for completeness, edit, or otherwise assist in clerical processing and/or data entry.

For the Bilingual Clerk, we’re seeking candidates with skills in any of the following languages: Arabic, Cambodian, Chinese, French, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Tagalog. These are initially part time opportunities with very flexible shift hours ranging between 8:00am-12:00am. There will be opportunity to work additional hours and weekends!


Position Title: Information Technology Specialist

Descriptions: 

  • Diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer-reported incidents.
  • Develop and maintain problem tracking and resolution databases.
  • Research, evaluate, document, and provide feedback on problematic trends.
  • Serve as a conduit and facilitator for the end user(s) to describe and identify a problem to be resolved using policies, profiles, or practices.
  • Develop testing and written instructions for new procedures and special projects.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software.
