Responsibilities:
Purpose and Vision
- Serve God and the vision of Elk Horn Baptist Church as given to the Lead Pastor
- Serve as the primary Worship Leader/Pastor for Elk Horn Baptist Church
- Make every effort to bring the vision of EHBC to life.
- Serve side-by-side with the Pastors/ Deacon/Media Director and EHBC Leadership
- Be willing to lead; go above and beyond in other environments as necessary.
Leading and Developing Others
- Build, direct, coordinate and develop the EHBC Praise Band
- Develop teams that are fully qualified to serve and lead in weekly worship services.
- Oversee the worship ministry at all EHBC Events and Services
- Ensure the Praise Band and background singers are equipped and prepared to worship with the Spirit of Excellence
- Lead weekly rehearsals for the Praise Band and scheduled team members.
- Post chord chards, MP3s, Worship Outlines, and other necessary elements for the Praise Band each week
- Pastor, coach, and care for all lead volunteers. Take key leaders to other services, conferences and meetings that will help equip them for the work of the ministry.
- Weddings – Coordinate sound services and clear stage if necessary.
Creative Planning
- If possible, participate in staff, production, and creative meetings. This includes assisting in the overall programming and execution of creative elements in the worship experience (Props, songs, video element, giveaways, etc.)
- Stay current with culture as it relates to worship.
- Develop innovative methods to take EHBC worship to the next level.
- Communicate with other Worship Pastors and watch other church services to gain insight and develop ways to improve the effectiveness of the worship experience.
- Provide creative input for the Children/Youth worship ministries.
