CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Come see the cowboy church pastor, Chris Clarke.
Clark, pastor of Kentucky Lake Cowboy Church in Draffenville, Ky., and a 1986 Campbellsville College alumnus, will speak at Campbellsville University’s chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, Ky.
Everyone is invited to attend.
Clarke is a Mission Service Corps missionary, serving with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention. He also serves as president and chaplain of Happy Trails Ministry which he founded under God’s direction in November 2003.
Clarke helped plant the Kentucky Lake Cowboy Church near Benton in 2010.
After his graduation from Campbellsville College, he graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1988. Prior to answering God’s call to full-time equestrian ministry in October 2003, he served for 22 years in churches in Campbellsville, Earlington and Marion, all in Kentucky.
After serving in church staff ministry for 22 years as minister of music and youth, God clearly and specifically called Clarke and his family into the world of equestrian ministry, where they reach out to those in the equestrian culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Clarkes have owned several horses over the years. They were involved in horse showing with their youngest daughter for several years until she left home and went to college. Their involvement in the equestrian culture has opened many doors of ministry opportunity in Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Illinois and Missouri.
The Apostle Paul reveals in 1 Corinthians 9:22 that he has “become all things to all people” in order to be more effective in his ministry to people of various backgrounds. Clarke believes the family’s involvement in the equestrian culture has helped to make them much more effective in their ministry to those in the equestrian community.
Clarke and his wife, Shelia, live in Hopkins County with their horse “Chip” and miniature horse “Penny.” They have three grown children and four grandchildren, all living in western Kentucky.
Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.
