Josh Parker is a professional guitarist, educator, composer and audio engineer based in Louisville, Ky. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville (Masters) and Morehead State University (Bachelors) where he studied guitar performance with a concentration in jazz under guitarists Craig Wagner and Glenn Ginn. Mr. Parker joined Campbellsville University in 2022 as an adjunct instructor of guitar where he is a member of the jazz faculty combo and works with the guitar students and jazz ensembles.
Mr. Parker has also been a prominent performer throughout Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. Some notable performances include being a featured soloist at the Kentucky Music Education Association (NAfME) conference in 2016 and 2017 where he was a member of the Intercollegiate Allstar Jazzband as well as the Reading Jazzband led by Jerry Tolson. He was also a featured soloist at the Jazz Education Network (JEN) conference in 2012 performing with MSU’s jazz ensemble. Mr. Parker regularly performs in various jazz ensembles and pit orchestras for music theatre productions in Louisville and Southern Indiana as well.
