CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY. – The transition from high school to college can be filled with anxiety and worry, especially if you’re not prepared. Campbellsville University takes this seriously, providing students with LINC, a program designed to get students oriented with university life, which took place June 4-5, 2015.

“LINC was a blast! It was so exciting to meet new friends and people that share the same interest as you. The most valuable thing at LINC was starting new friendships that will last a lifetime,” Jordyn Southern, future CU student, said.

LINC is an acronym, which stands for “Learning in a new environment, Investing in your future, Navigating life change, and Connecting to Campbellsville University.”

“I like how LINC was very organized and helped me answer all the questions I needed help with,” Jarod Jackson, future CU student, said. “The activities that LINC planned as a group was funny and I think everyone enjoyed it.”

Students were connected with Campbellsville University in many ways; students set up their email, got a post office box and key, and received their student I.D and parking decal. LINC also helped students get acquainted with the campus as well as give an opportunity to meet their future roommates and faculty.

LINC is an overnight event but parents are encouraged to attend. Students were given a time to schedule classes. There were many seminars to assist parents with ways to aid their new student, providing a valuable Q&A setting for parents to ask questions. The seminars also gave information about payment and payment plans.

More LINCs are coming, which will be taking place this summer July 10-11 and July 24-25.
