CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Kenneth Stein, organist/choirmaster at Christ Episcopal Church in Bowling Green, Ky., and organ instructor at Western Kentucky University, will be Campellsville University’s Noon Organ recitalist on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 12:20 p.m. in Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.
Since the program takes place on Veterans Day, Stein will be performing Edward Elgar’s For the Fallen. In addition he will play Anne Wilson’s Toccata, and Franz Liszt’s Prelude and Fugue on B.A.C.H.

He will perform on the 1894 Farrand and Votey Pipe Organ that was enlarged and rebuilt by Moller, Pilcher and Milnar Organ Companies. It has three manuals, pedalboard and 51 ranks.
The recital will conclude at 12:50 p.m.; everyone is invited to the free recital.
Stein was born, raised and educated in New Jersey and has held posts as organist and/or choir director in churches in New Jersey, California, Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky.
He graduated from Westminster Choir College with degrees in church music and organ performance, after having won the Alexander McCurdy competition in organ. He has earned the associate certificate of the American Guild of Organists.
Stein’s involvement with the American Guild of Organists has included serving three terms as dean for two different chapters. He served as chapter liaison for the National Convention in 2012, held in Nashville, Tenn.
Stein worked for the Milnar Organ Co. of Eagleville, Tenn. between 1999 and 2001.
He has published a website, photographybystein.com, featuring the pipe organs and churches of middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky and beyond.
He is married to Deborah Stein, a singer and choral director, and between them, they share a house, four daughters, two cats and two dogs.
