CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University’s tenure and promotion committee and the academic committee of the board of trustees has granted tenure to Dr. Jonathan May, associate professor of Sociology, on April 16.

May has taught as an associate professor of sociology at Campbellsville University since 2015.

Before Campbellsville University, May was the chair of department of social sciences at Saint Augustine’s University from 2013 to 2015 as well as an assistant professor of sociology at Saint Augustine’s University from 2010 to 2013.

He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from North Carolina State University in 2010 as well as his Master of Arts in Sociology from Western Kentucky University in 2004. He also received his Bachelor of Arts in Theological and Historical Studies from Oral Roberts University in 1991.

He is the son of Sherry and Eugene May, of Dover, Fla., and is the husband of Candy May.
