Church planting team to speak at Feb. 23 chapel

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – A church planting team from Southland Christian Church in Lexington, Ky., will speak in Campbellsville University’s Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, Ky., during chapel service at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23.

The team consists of Lee Webb, Jared Arnett, Nathan Head and Connor Hall.

Webb joined South Christian Church in 2020 as its church planting director. Webb has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, is a licensed real estate broker in Kentucky and holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCMI) designation.

Webb graduated with a degree in business marketing from the University of Kentucky. Webb was named to the 2005 Business First 40 Under 40 list, the 2005 Shelby County Chamber Member of the Year, and was awarded the University of Kentucky Young Alumni of the Year in 2010.

Webb planted and served as the founding and lead pastor of Christ Community Church in Shelbyville, Ky. In 2016, he authored and published his first book, “Go Outside.” He and his wife, Rachel, live in central Kentucky with their three children: Walker, Warren and Wells.

Arnett is the founding and lead pastor at New Beginnings Church in Pikeville, Ky. Before entering ministry, he was one of the first leaders of  Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR), an Eastern Kentucky non-profit organization that champions local projects, programs and advocacy across Appalachia to fill economic gaps left by the decline of the coal industry.

After helping plant New Beginnings, Arnett partnered with Southland Christian Church in 2021 to start Together for the Mountains, a church planting initiative across Eastern Kentucky.  He and his wife, Bethany, live in Harold, Ky., with their two children.

Head is the lead pastor of Impact Ministries at Southland Christian Church. He has been on staff at Southland since 2006 and has served in a variety of roles during his time there. He grew up in Florida and graduated from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Mo., with a degree in Biblical Literature. He and his wife, Stefany, have two sons, Jordan and Lincoln.

Hall was born in Lexington, Ky., and grew up in Georgetown. Shortly after graduating high school, he moved to Nashville, Tenn., where he worked for Regions Financial Corporation as a branch manager and motivational speaker. He served as the student and teaching pastor for King & City Church in Mt. Juliet, Tenn. After moving back to Kentucky, he most recently served as the interim teaching pastor at Phos Community Church in Crestwood, Ky., before joining Southland Christian Church as their church planting and young adults ministry coordinator.
