CU Carver School of Social Work and Counseling holds pinning ceremony for December 2014 graduates

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Dr. Darlene Eastridge, dean, welcomed graduates and their families to Campbellsville University’s Carver School of Social Work and Counseling pinning ceremony Dec. 12 in The Gheens Recital Hall.

“We prepare Christian servant leaders,” said Anne Adcock, assistant professor of social work and director of the CU Somerset Center, “to be more than professionals who do great work. We want them to give of themselves on an even broader scale.”

She said CU’s Carver School has social work SWITCH (Social Workers in Touch Can Help) clubs on all three campuses where students do volunteer work above and beyond their course work, making considerable contributions to homeless shelters, soup kitchens, foster care agencies and domestic violence abuse shelters.
