CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University faculty is set to host “Seminary for a Day” as part of the Kentucky Baptist Convention on Saturday, March 22. The event will be from 8:45 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. CDT in Glasgow, Ky. at Immanuel Baptist Church located on 104 Western Hills Drive, Glasgow.

Seminary for a Day brings practical, biblically sound teaching to each region in Kentucky. Pastors, bivocational pastors, ministers, ministry students and other leaders are all welcome.

“The day is designed to benefit pastors and other church leaders and provide a day of education and fellowship for those who are faithfully serving in our local churches across the southern part of Kentucky,” said Dr. John Chowning, vice president for church and external relations and executive assistant to the president at CU.

“Campbellsville University is pleased to provide very fine faculty from the Schools of Music and Theology to lead these sessions in Glasgow,” Chowning said.

The morning sessions will begin at 9:30 a.m. with “Pastoral Letter, Pastoral Leadership,” led by Dr. John Hurtgen, dean of the CU School of Theology, and Dr. Scott Wigginton, professor of pastoral ministries and counseling at Campbellsville University.

Dr. Shane Garrison, assistant professor of educational ministries, and Dr. G. Ted Taylor, director of the CU Big Maroon Club who formerly taught in the CU School of Theology, will lead the other morning session, “Creating Simple Processes to Lead Your Church Well.” Dr. Tony Cunha, dean of the School of Music, will lead the afternoon session “Leading Worship When It’s Just You.”

“Campbellsville University remains committed to connecting with our local Kentucky Baptist churches, and we are thankful to have the opportunity to participate and support ‘Seminary for a Day’,” Chowning said.

The fees for attendance and lunch are $20 per person. For bivocational pastors and Simmons College of Kentucky students the cost is $10 per person.
