CU Receives $10,000 from Community Trust Bank Inc.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University has received $10,000 from Community Trust Bank Inc., according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president.

The donation is part of a $50,000 pledge made by the bank. This is the fourth year of the pledge.

The bank has given $7,500 of the $10,000 to be used for the Ransdell Chapel, and $2,500 is for an athletic corporate sponsorship.

“We appreciate Community’s Trust tremendous support and belief in Christian higher education,” said Carter. “We are honored to be working with them.”

Ricky Sparkman, south central region president of Community Trust Bank Inc., said, “We appreciate what Campbellsville University do in the community and as a whole.”

Community Trust Bank Inc. was recently selected as Campbellsville/Taylor County Chamber of Commerce Service Business of the Year.
