CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — U.S. News & World Report has released the list of the best online programs in the nation and Campbellsville University has been acknowledged.

In the 2013 Best Online Graduate Business Programs report, Campbellsville University is ranked 86th. Campbellsville University was the only college in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to be ranked in this report with a numerical value. Other Kentucky schools that made the list but whose rank was not published include Murray State University and Western Kentucky University.

In the 2013 Best Online Graduate Education Programs report, Campbellsville University received a ranking of 16th. Other colleges included in the list are Eastern Kentucky University, being ranked 10th, and Western Kentucky University, being ranked 124th. Two other Kentucky colleges were included on the list but their rank was not published. These are Northern Kentucky University and the University of Louisville.

“These rankings once again affirm that Campbellsville University has emerged to become a truly comprehensive university and one that is competing well academically with peer public and private institutions,” Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of CU, said.

“We are very pleased with these national high rankings of our online programs in our School of Business and Economics and School of Education. CU’s Vision 2025 blueprint for the future is being realized with the growing academic reputation of Campbellsville University,” he said.

Dr. DeWayne Frazier, dean of graduate and professional studies, associate vice president for academic affairs and associate professor of political science, said, “The institution has long known that our education and business programs are among the best in the region and nation and this recent report further solidifies that fact. There are some tremendous faculty in these areas, and the students who graduate are prepared to make their mark in their chosen professions.”

Frazier said, “When students are considering online education programs they are faced with a myriad of options from around the country. CU is proud to be one of the institutions that not only offers competitively priced programs but also ones that demonstrate the academic and rigor that prepares our students for careers, not just jobs.”

Campbellsville University offers the following online degrees: Associate’s – general studies, business administration, Christian studies and criminal justice; Bachelor’s – bachelor of science in nursing (RN to BSN) and bachelor of science in business administration; and master’s – master of arts in organizational leadership, master of business administration, master of theology and master of arts in special education (LBD) P-12.
