Dr. Albert Reyes to speak at Campbellsville University weekly convocation service March 2

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.—Campbellsville University will welcome Dr. Albert Reyes, president and chief executive officer of Buckner International, to speak during the weekly convocation service on Wednesday, March 2 in Ransdell Chapel located at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

Chapel is free and open to the public.

Reyes is the sixth president of Buckner international, a “global ministry dedicated to the transformation and restoration of lives.”

Prior to his service at Buckner, Reyes was president of Baptist University of the Américas in San Antonio, Texas.

Reyes received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Angelo State University; and a master of divinity and bachelor of ministry (missiology) degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also earned a doctor of philosophy degree (global leadership) from Andrews University and has participated in executive education at Harvard Kennedy School at Harvard University.

Reyes has held adjunct faculty positions at Howard Payne University—El Paso; Baptist University of the Américas; Seminario Teológico Bautista Mexicano, Mexico City; George W. Truett Theological Seminary; and Andrews University; and is Distinguished Adjunct Professor of Leadership in the Gary Cook School of Leadership, Dallas Baptist Seminary.

He is a member of the board of trustees of the Joint Council for International Children’s Services, the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference and the T. B. Maston Institute.

Reyes and his wife, Belinda, have three children. He enjoys reading, writing, camping, movies and travel. The Reyes family are active members of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.

All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10) and are streamed live on the Internet at campbellsville.edu/live-streaming.
