CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University has hired Fred Frontino as its new Title IX coordinator.

As Title IX coordinator, Frontino will oversee implementation of the university’s Title IX program at all instructional sites, including the main campus and regional education centers.

“We are excited to have Fred Frontino join the student services staff as the first full-time Title IX coordinator at Campbellsville University,” Rusty Hollingsworth, vice president for student services and athletics, said.

“He brings great experience in Title IX, student conduct and ADA law to this position, and we look forward to working with him.”

Frontino will administer and oversee completion of investigations and responses to alleged Title IX violations.

In consultation with university offices, Frontino will develop and implement Title IX training programs for students, faculty and staff.

Frontino will be a member of the university’s Compliance and Ethics Committee and other committees as requested. He will regularly advise the vice president for student services and athletics, provost and president of Title IX matters and will review the university’s policy and protocol to ensure compliance with Title IX in alignment with the university’s Christian mission.

Frontino will oversee, train, lead and collaborate with the university’s deputy Title IX coordinators, who are as follows: Andrea Settle, assistant director of human resources (deputy Title IX coordinator for employees); Kate Hartlage, assistant director of residence life (deputy Title IX coordinator for students); Tevis Milburn, director of recruitment and enrollment at the Conover Education Center in Harrodsburg (regional deputy Title IX coordinator); and Deborah Thomas, interim director of the Louisville Education Center (regional deputy Title IX coordinator).

Frontino comes to Campbellsville University with more than 20 years of experience in higher education in student disability, Title IX and tutoring services.

Frontino began as a tutor at San Bernardino Valley College in San Bernardino, Calif. He later served as an adaptive technology specialist in Disabled Students Programs and Services, where he assessed the needs of students with disabilities and developed training plans to enable them to complete their courses and gain employment.

Following his time at San Bernardino Valley College, Frontino held high-tech and media positions at Mt. San Jacinto College in San Jacinto, Calif., where he trained students in adaptive technology and developed curriculum for software training classes, among other duties. He continued at Mt. San Jacinto College as a supervisor for the Procurement and General Services Department before taking the role of director of student judicial affairs, Title IX coordinator and §504/ADA coordinator.

Frontino holds a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership, both from the University of Arizona, and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from San Bernardino Valley College.
