CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Logan Hall, a senior of Stanton, Ky., received the Extra Mile Student Award from the Student Government Association (SGA) during the Campbellsville University Honors and Awards Day video May 2.
Rebekah Mobley, president of SGA, announced the award during the Honors and Awards Day video produced to honor award recipients in place of the typical chapel service that could not be held due to COVID-19.
The Extra Mile Student award is given to a student who goes above and beyond for the campus. Hall studied broadcasting in mass communication at Campbellsville University and worked as the audio and visual production assistant on campus.
He was also the bassist for New Doxology, the promotions assistant at Cumulus Media and was involved in the Tiger Marching Band and CU’s Pep and Jazz Bands.
“SGA believes he is deserving of his award because of how hard he works to make all of these events possible,” Mobley said.
“He goes above and beyond to ensure that all needs and wants are met and truly seeks to do his job to his best ability. We’ve had the pleasure to personally work with Logan and are beyond grateful for his hard work and dedication,” she said.
Andrew Bennett, audio visual services coordinator at Campbellsville University, said, “He deserves this award because he always goes above and beyond when he works on something and is passionate about it. Whenever asked to work an audio-visual event, he went beyond just what was expected to make sure that everything looked good and had good quality sound both for the audience and for the people on stage.”
Hall is a 2016 graduate of Powell County High School and the son of Carrie Ellis and Wayne and Kelli Hall.
