Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Somerset to speak at chapel

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.—The Rev. Bill Haynes, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Somerset, Ky., will speak at Campbellsville University’s chapel service Feb. 13 in Ransdell Chapel, located on Campbellsville University’s campus at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

Chapel is free and open to the public.

Haynes has been serving at Grace Baptist Church since October 2006. Prior to that, he served as Senior Policy Analyst for Cultural & Worldview Studies at the American Center for Law and Justice for three years. He also served as senior pastor at First Baptist Sweetwater in Florida from 1991 to 2001.

Haynes earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. He also graduated from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas with a master of divinity in 1979. Haynes has also studied at the Reformed Theological Seminary and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Haynes has served at Southern Baptist churches for the past 30 years in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Kentucky.

He is married to Rhetta Landers and is the father of three grown children, Carol-Beth, Anna and Will.

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.

All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10).
