CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville University’s WLCU-TV has two new television programs on the horizon.
Beginning Monday, March 2, “Cooking with Dave” and “CU in the Word” will make their debut.
Jeannie Clark, general manager of WLCU-TV/FM, said, “We are excited to re-launch the cooking show with its new host Dave Walters. This new show will continue the legacy of the late Ed McGuire with a fresh spin on the traditional cooking venue.”

“Cooking with Dave” will share recipes, tips and discuss various topics while creating a dish to share with family and friends. Dave Walters, Campbellsville University’s vice president for admissions and student services, will be the weekly host. Walters is also pastor of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church in Campbellsville.
The show is set to run Monday through Friday at 5:30 p.m. each evening and Saturdays at noon. Viewers and followers are welcome to email wlcustudio@gmail.com for copies of Dave’s recipes.
“CU in the Word” is the second of the upcoming new programs set to air. The Campbellsville University School of Theology faculty, staff and students will join the program to provide a half-hour study lesson.
Each episode is shot, directed and edited by CU students, sophomore Paul Taylor and freshman Clark Tippett, both Versailles, Ky., natives.
“Alan Haven came up to Clark Tippett and I asking if we’d be interested in doing a new devotional TV show, and we said yes without hesitation because we liked the idea and thought it would be great experience. We hope to have several different hosts to cover a wide range of interesting topics in the show,” Taylor said.
Viewers can expect to see Dr. John Hurtgen, dean of the School of Theology; Dr. Scott Wigginton, professor of pastoral ministries and counseling; and Ed Pavy, director of campus ministries, on the show.

Times for the show are as follows: Monday through Fridays at 7 a.m.; Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 2 p.m.; Mondays at 8 p.m.; Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m.
